If you’re looking for an objective and almost unbiased Wealthy Affiliate review, look no further! Making money online is no easy task and there’s definitely a lot to learn if you really want to be successful, so it’s great that you’re researching some different ways to do that!
I started out at Wealthy Affiliate in 2013 and learned almost everything I know through their teaching platform. If you want to see how well it can work, why don’t you check out my post on the possibilities of internet marketing where I show you exactly how much I earn through a single niche website? Keep in mind the metrics used in that post aren’t from Lucrative Online, they’re from my latest niche site.
Here’s a little sample.
What is Wealthy Affiliate?
Wealthy Affiliate is a great learning platform for budding affiliate marketers who want to expedite their growth by being taught how to do things the right way. What kinds of things? Things like SEO, content creation, actually building a website, gaining influence through social media, how to build traffic on YouTube, and lots of other topics.
Here are just a few examples of what you can learn at WA:
- How to build a website using WordPress
- Proven affiliate marketing strategies
- How to write great content
- White hat SEO
- Social media marketing
- Marketing for YouTube
- Local/small business marketing
- The fundamentals of building a successful online business
- How to scale a successful online business
The core part of the training is broken down into 5 different “courses” which each contain 10 “lessons” to complete. There are also hundreds of training videos covering absolutely everything you could need to grow online. The training is the most valuable aspect of Wealthy Affiliate, in my opinion. You could drop everything else that I’m about to tell you about and still have an extremely worthwhile course.
The best part, in my opinion, is that you have access to a completely free starter account which gives you more than enough information to know if affiliate/internet marketing is something that you’re actually interested in. You can host 2 free websites to test things out, and you’re given access all 10 modules of the first course (in the picture above).
I would really suggest that you take full advantage of the free account before making your decision to upgrade – that way you’re not wasting any money if you find it’s not for you! That upgrade would be to the “premium” level in which you get access to absolutely everything WA has to offer for $49/month – $19 for the first month – there are no upsells beyond that point.
So, long story short, Wealthy Affiliate is a place where you learn how to build your own online business. What type of business that is, is entirely up to you! You’re simply given the tools and training required to achieve online success, what you do with that directly influences the amount of money you’ll eventually make.
What else do you get?
Along with great training, WA also offers a complete hosting/domain registrar service as well as all the other tools you’ll need to get the job done. Included are things like a domain-specific email (if you own your own domain), daily backups, 24/7 support, a keyword tool, and lots of other great tools and utilities.
With WA you get access to:
- Hosting for your website
- Speedy tech support
- A keyword tool
- Easy link tracking
- A great community
One thing to note is that you do not get a cPanel through WA’s hosting, it’s a bit of a different system in which they handle pretty much everything on the server/database side of things. If you’re used to having complete access via cPanel, you will probably want to keep your current host. I don’t host at WA if we’re being completely honest here, but only because I’m used to having cPanel. If you don’t know what cPanel is, there’s no reason to learn right now and WA’s hosting is going to work well for you!
Lastly, one of the most important things you get is the community. Inside of the WA community are thousands of online entrepreneurs looking to find their way to everything from complete financial freedom to a bit of residual income. This is one of the best parts of WA to a lot of people, but it’s also one of the worst because some of us are a little too social and end up spending more time chatting than growing our businesses 🙂
WA gives you all of the tools you need to grow – how will you use them?
What does it take?
Jumping into something like affiliate marketing definitely isn’t for everyone, even with great training. I’m not going to sit here and lie to you by saying that it’s “super easy” and you’ll without a doubt be making money in 6 months time because it’s honestly more plausible that you won’t be. I’m not saying that it’s impossible for that to happen, it’s just unlikely.
Seriously, it’s not an easy thing to do and it takes a lot of time and dedication if you really want to go anywhere with it. A lot of “marketers” try to sell affiliate marketing as being this simple thing that anyone can do; and although a lot of people could do it, not many of us actually have the drive and determination to stick with it for long enough to get anything out.
To be successful you’ll need:
- More patience
- More time
If you’re still here, that’s a good sign!
If you have the right amount of determination, all it really takes is for you to use the information you’ll have access to and it will work. I mean really use it, trying to learn and then improvise at the same time is a bad time, trust me on that one! You might make a profit in the first month, or you might not see anything for the first year or more; but if you are constantly working on learning and implementing what you’re learning, you will eventually see a return.
I didn’t want to fill my Wealthy Affiliate review with a ton of marketing fluff, so I’ve tried to keep it relatively short and to the point. I’m not the most unbiased person to get a review of Wealthy Affiliate from because I’ve found success through using the tools they provide, but that’s also kind of evidence that it does work.
I’m not big into recommending anything that won’t work for you, but WA is something that really does work when it’s used right. Again, affiliate marketing isn’t for everyone, and some people will just not like it, but for those who are interested in making money online, WA is where you need to be to learn.
At the end of the day, there’s a reason why I was able to build a niche site which produces well over $5k /month in residual income – that reason is Wealthy Affiliate. If you want to learn how I did it, you’ll have to head on over to WA and get learning 🙂
