Google AdSense is definitely the most reputable PPC (pay per click) program out there and is a great way to help increase overall income from small personal blogs, and large authority sites alike.
There are a lot of other comparable PPC programs which are more easily targeted as you pick what you’re promoting, but none have the name of Google. That being said, Google AdSense picks what to put on their ad’s, on your website, based on what that specific viewer has been previously searching, or looking at.
Applying to Google for AdSense is a bit of a process and can result in your website being denied numerous times, or accepted on the first, its all a matter of the how long your website has been established, and how much Google likes it.
Implementing AdSense on your website has become rather simple with the plethora of plugins which are available on WordPress and other major Content Management Systems. If you’re not using a CMS, you should be, but it is still just a matter of creating an ad and pasting the code which Google creates for you.
It’s hard to put an estimate on what you will make via AdSense because of the numerous variables, but, there are websites which definitely make upwards of $10,000/month.
To make that $10,000/month revenue in Adsense though would take years of building up with 1000s of pages of content. You would also need to be bringing in roughly 800,000 visitors a month and maintain a clickthrough-rate (CTR) of 5% with Google tentatively paying .25c average per click. Or 40,000 really interested visitors who all click 1 ad.
To obtain these numbers will take quite a long time and 10x as much dedication, but it is possible, and plausible with the right support and specialized training.
All-in-all, Adsense is a great way to monetize small personal blogs and large authority sites alike.
