[/wc_accordion_section][wc_accordion_section title=”My Poor Experience with Affiliate Window“]
A few days ago I applied to Affiliate Window(affiliatewindow.com), they’re considered a rather reputable company based on the research I had done, but, I experienced something completely different.
Upon applying to Affiliate Window, one is asked to pay a $5 fee, which I didn’t mind because it shows a little legitimacy in their operation. It’s not too much, but enough to ween out the less serious, as the advertisers or companies they tell you they serve are reputable themselves.
As you can see in the picture their contact email is [email] so.. that doesn’t really give a guy much to go on. So i tried clicking on their “Contact” link, to no avail. (might be my popup blocker as the URL for their “contact” page was mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org)
Naturally, I did as I was told an sent “mail to” the email outlined. Which stated:
“Hello Affiliate Window;
Your mod’s thought it necessary to disapprove my application for www.lucrativeonline.com does that mean you keep my $5? I know you have a great reputation in GB. But, that being said, Your program seems somewhat shady on the North American side. My initial experience with your company has been less than satisfying. To be honest, I feel like I’ve been scammed.”
To which i received the reply from another email(email@example.com):
Your account has now been closed and the finance team will be issuing your refund shortly.
I guess time will tell if their sign-up fee actually does get reimbursed. But, the fact remains that nothing was explained and I was given a very generic response only to have my account deactivated, again, without explanation.
This just goes to show you how much they don’t care about their publishers.
Some of you may have had good experiences with Affiliate Window, this is just my poor experience with them.
It’s safe to say I’ll be sticking with Commission Junction(cj.com) and Linkshare (linkshare.com) in the future.
Affiliate Window is still a reputable company by many people’s standards, and I do believe that my poor experience with them was part of a smaller percentile than the folks who have good experiences, but, the fact remains, I was completely disregarded with out as much as a explanatory response.
I have no time for a company that has no time for me
I will not be returning to them, ever.
